Usually by this time of year, I’m feeling pretty good from the warm weather. And I mean, I am - it’s so much better than winter - but, life springing back is making everything so beautiful and it makes me SO. FREAKING. SAD. Because people living on this planet are just throwing it all away. Including me. I try to be “green”, but even with all the changes I’m making in my life, and others in theirs, it’s not enough. With only some people making changes, and the rest participating in the general corruptedness that is our way of life, we’re just fucking doomed.
At the college cafe I work at, one of my favorite people, out of coworkers, students, etc, to talk to is the janitor. He watches a lot of documentaries and is very well-informed. He watched a program the other day that talked about carbon emissions and global warming, and one of the top leading experts in the field was saying that there was “already too much carbon emissions in the atmosphere, cutting back is not an option. Even if we were at zero emissions starting RIGHT now, it would still be too much,” and that we “needed to start thinking of ways to take the carbon OUT,” and that we could through alternative cattle farming, since farming is one of the worst offenders of emissions. (None of that direct quoting, by the way, just what I remember from the janitor saying.)
That shit is never going to happen. It’s just not. That’s not me being pessimistic. It’s realistic.
Anyways, so that is why I’m so fucking sad, lately. We live in such a beautiful world. Earth is so full of beautiful, diverse life, and we are just shitting all over it, and not enough people are making everyday changes in their lifestyle because they don’t want to see that WE ARE ALL THE PROBLEM. This will not be here forever. Let’s try and make it last.
FOR FUCKS SAKE, stop blaming it on the government not making the change. IT IS ALL of our faults! We have to make the change.
Just because you use re-usable bags and drink water out of your Nalgene bottle does not mean that there is NO room for improvement. I am a vegan (which greatly reduces my ‘footprint’), for fucks sake, and I’m still looking for ways to improve.

Lately I have been seeing the world in a whole new light, it’s really refreshing.
I have been long aware of the fact that people are just mass that has consciousness, but now I can’t stop thinking about it. I see my family, my friends, and everyone around me as if I was a visitor to Earth, and how peculiar the human race actually is.
Situated north of the Cap Vert Peninsula in Senegal, northeast of Dakar, Lake Retba, or as the French refer to it Lac Rose, is pinker than any milkshake you’ve ever come face to straw with.
And once you see it, you too will agree that a sippy straw may be in order over a boat.
Experts say the lake gives off its pink hue due to cyanobacteria, a harmless halophilic bacteria found in the water.
If the color weren’t enough to make you smile, it should be known that Lake Retba has a high salt content, much like that of the Dead Sea, allowing people to float effortlessly in the massive pink water. In fact, Lake Retba has an almost one and a half times higher salt content than the Dead Sea.

I cannot tell you any spiritual truth that deep within you don’t know already. All I can do is remind you of what you have forgotten.~ Eckhart Tolle
Consciousness.
I find this comment really ironic. The age of this tree was discovered using radiocarbon dating. But… you’re a creationist. Which is fine, not hatin’. BUT. How can you believe this instance of radiocarbon dating to be accurate, when the same protocol that you are denying is what was used to determine that the Earth is BILLIONS OF YEARS OLD.
Major fail.
